Gato Negro

Ode to an inexpensive but nice Chilean Cabernet (they have a cool website too).

Gato Negro,

Gracias!

On my front porch Friday evening

Gracias!

Crack!

My neighbor from across the way opens a can of… PBR?

Whoo-Hoo!

Friday night.

Layoff has rendered my Friday evening null.

Though tonight is soft, mild, sweet.

Gato Negro,

Gracias!

Saturday smiles from here.

Seductively a weekend still peers over the horizon.

A shared Summer scent,
Mesquite grilled BBQ & sweet corn.

Crack!

Another can is open.

Open wide.

Gato Negro,

Gracias!

Wait

WaitingMoon

Three quarters full.

Sky deepening blue.

The breeze ruffles leaves,
light bright green.

Early summer lush, soft sweet hush.

I feel the rise, the fall, the tide.

It’s your call.

Jasmine starts in.

You win.

So fair, soft and sandy your hair.

You pick the time.

I wait.

You reveal my love.

Who knows?

The breeze still blows.

The moon, she still shines.

Three quarters full.

Note: Artistic license with the moon. Tonight she is full, possibly a good omen!
